Jolly Old St. Nicholas!
St. Nick came to visit this two heathens on Thursday morning. I guess they remembered to put their shoes out on Wednesday night!

“Initially, I thought I might be too young for her because her first husband was 89,” said the 80 year old Paterno. “But I invited her to the Purdue game in 2005 and she showed up. And then we hooked up after the 2006 Orange Bowl. So yeah, I tapped it.”

After almost 4 years in the D.C. Metropolitan area, I have decided to return to my roots (well within an hour & a 1/2) to Pittsburgh, PA. On Monday, 26 February 2007, I officially accepted a Senior Auditor position with Del Monte Foods.
I am very excited about:
Gotta Love A Family True To The Black and Gold.

“Oh, that there’s an RV. Yeah, I borrowed it off a buddy of mine. He took my house, I took the RV. It’s a good looking vehicle, ain’t it?” …
“But, don’t you go falling in love with it now, because, we’re taking it with us when we leave here next month.” ~ Cousin Eddie

This year’s tailgate was definitely a memorable one (well from what I was told). We had a great crew of people all day long, with special appearances from members of the Twin Hollows Hunting Camp (& Wives); Worm (a.k.a. Ace of Ace and Gary); Ms. Ankles herself Darby Billard; “The Original Yo,” Jeremy Zerbe; Kipp (not John) Starks; Jeffrey “I Bite Heads Off Fish” Pugh; and most importantly the “One & Only” April Williams
The Bead successfully pulled off one of the greatest magical tricks of all time, falling a sleep with a bottle of mustard in his hand (see pictures) and waking up next to a Mille Lite can (also see pictures).
Tim woke up with a bloody ear one morning, and on the floor of the RV with no shirt on the next. Not to mention his infamous pounding on his chest chanting GO – GO – GO to himself at 4 a.m. (for no apparent reason).
Lacy may have surprised me the most going straight from water to Gin & Tonics on Saturday afternoon. Isn’t there some unwritten rule that says you must consume some other form of frosty/sudsy liquid before going to Tangueray?
As for myself, well there’s nothing like having your younger brother entice you to drink a I.C. Light at 8:30 a.m. on a Saturday morning, after a long night at Café 210. Hey, That is what family is for!
Each year we get wiser & wiser (at least to this tailgate business). We learn what to bring, who to invite, and most importantly how to enjoy ourselves. This weekend was so much fun that we plan on doing again next year (Go Figure). So EVERYBODY plan on being in State College next September, when the Nittany Lions take on the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame. That Is Big Time!
A lot has happened since my last post.
It’s Wedding Season. Sam and Erin got married on August 5th. Let me tell ya’ll, that was one heck of a wedding. The trolley ride was the bomb! Lots of fun had by all, and a couple of days to recover by yours truly. Other Weddings This Season: April Previte, Seth Yachtis, and Jonathan “Butch” Bobby.
Family Vacation. This year was again a stellar trip to Ocean City, Maryland. Although the alcohol consumption may have been a little lighter then last year (see previous event), the good times were plentiful. Nieces and nephews were entertaining, and as always, that one trip to “Secrets” was memorable. Looking forward to having an equally enjoyable experience and the Outer Banks next year.
Football. Football season is upon us (at least the preseason has finally arrived). I can not tell you how pumped I am for Steelers and Penn State Football. (Note To All, Do Not Call During Those Games (except for : - ) see later note)
Games I Plan To Attend:
Michigan @ Penn State, October 14th. This will be a repeat RV performance. Good times had by all last year, many good times to come. ~~ P.S. On another note here, Tim Stynchula and Lacy are about to purchase a friggin minivan. Be sure to provide them with lots of soccer ball magnets.
Steelers @ Ravens, November 25th. This will be my first attempt to penetrate the land of purple and black (to be black and blue after the game, just hopefully them and not me). Last year I heard of a friend/Steelers fan getting into a little tussle after the game, I think I will be very aware of my surroundings that day.
Last, But Certainly Not Least. This post would not be complete with out mention of someone special that I met. I will have to thank Sam and Erin for re-introducing me to April (Williams). We had met each other once or twice in the past (Slovak Club and New Years Eve), but began getting to know each other over the last few months and it has been great! Good times had so far, many memories to come!
…And I’m Spent
I just wanted to give a shot out to Paul Duncan. Paul is a friend of mine in the D.C. metropolitan area who owns this space which my blog is located! Anway, for about 5 months (maybe more) I had no link to my photo gallary. I mentioned something to Paul last night at poker, and before I got home from work today, the link was back up and running. I figured I was “Crud” out of luck after I took a few $$$ of him in poker. Paul, I owe you a Diet Mt. Dew and some Reeses Cups. (Paul is one of those “Oregon” people who doesn’t drink beer). Hey everybody has their faults. Paul Duncan, I salute you!
For Memorial Day, I’m heading Nick Sr. (my dad) for a weekend of fishing in Potter County PA (self proclaimed “God’s Country) I just don’t think God knows where it’s at. I will have some pics to post on my new and improved link that PAUL DUNCAN re-established.
Also, I have to note a few key events that occurred over the past few months.
My sister Kelly & Jason Farbaugh married April 22, 2006

It sad to see a Pittsburgh icon go, but if you are going to send him on his way, you should do so as a champion… HOW STOKED ARE YOU… Not much else to report on this end, did some traveling for work, hit up San Diego for a week and a half, then off to Kansas City, and finished up with 4 days in BFE (also known as Altus, Ok)… Now I’m back in the district, anxiously waiting spring (softball, golf, fishing, life gets good)… Also, just picked up Nissan Titan Mega ticket to see, Gretchen Wilson, Brad Paisley, Kenny Chesney, Rascal Flatts, Brooks & Dunn, and Toby Keith all that the Nissan Pavilion throughout the summer. The Steelers are still rollin’ after the 31-17 SHALACKING of the Bungholes. WHO DEY —- not in the playoffs anymore.
Penn State is getting all the Vitamin C they need, seeing that they are the Orange Bowl Champions… Look out of the next PSU gunslinger Anthony Morelli at QB next year. Once again PSU will be underdogs but come out smelling like ROSES….
Heading up to PA for MLK weekend. Going to be assisting dad with some drywall activitiy. Gotts luv the Gov’t holidays.
Sam Shutty is engaged!!!
Until next time……..PEACE OUT
I haven’t written a note on here since nephew #3 was born, so I figured I am about do. Since then, PENN STATE has won the Big Ten Championship (and are about to destroy Florida State in the Orange Bowl), and the Steelers are 8-5, good news is the Bus Is Rollin’.

I am not looking foward to this Saturday (12/17/2005). Why you ask, well because Friday night we are heading down to 1223 for a night of chaos, it is Mikey’s last weekend in D.C before he moves down to Florida. I’m sure the Beer Monkey will be knocking on my door early Saturday.
Consider this my Christmas Card and Merry Christmas to anyone one that actually reads this.
